4.0 VISION : To promote traditional martial art, ChenShi taijiquan and
competitive wushu in the state and to promote Sibu as a tourist
destination through the 4th Borneo Cup Martial Arts Tournament.
5.0 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
5.1 All Wushu exponents, associations, organizations, and schools around the world may register individually or as part of an organization.
5.2 Individual competitors can register for any number of events.
5.3 Teams must have a team leader and a coach. No limitation of participant.
5.4 All personal particulars; e.g. age, declared shall be true. Any discrepancy may subject the participant to disqualification.
5.5 Safety & Health Declaration (Appendix 3) is to be signed and sent together with the registration. Those who did not submit the declaration will not be allowed to participate.
5.6 Entry to Sarawak- Participants should make their own travel arrangements and apply for their Entry Permit through Immigration Department at their own expense.
6.0 CHARGING STANDARDS & PACKAGES:
6.1 Entry fee:
For foreign participants - USD 20.00 per person
For Malaysian participants - RM 60.00 per person
For Malaysian participants - RM 60.00 per person
Get “Limited T-Shirt” with additional of USD15.00/RM40.00 paid upon registration.
6.2 Event fee:
For foreign participants - USD 20.00 per event
For Malaysian participants - RM 60.00 per event
For Malaysian participants - RM 60.00 per event
Free of 1 event with every 3 events registered.
(Example: 4 events for only USD60.00/RM180.00)
6.3 Hotel Accommodation:

4 nights’ accommodation fee (15-19/07/2011)

· Li Hua Hotel - USD100/RM300 (2 single bed)
Package B
3 nights’ accommodation fee (15-18/07/2011)
· RH Hotel - USD300/RM 900 (2 single bed)

6.4 Package benefits:

· All transport to and from airport/bus terminal, hotel and venue will be provided as well.
6.5 For those who don’t follow the above package, the price for Gathering Dinner is USD15.00/RM40.00 per head.
7.0 COMPETITION EVENTS:
A. Optional Routine : Changquan, Nanquan, Taijiquan, Daoshu, Jianshu,
Taijijian, Gunshu, Qiangshu, Nangun.
B. Standard Routine : Changquan, Nanquan, Taijiquan, Daoshu, Jianshu,
Taijijian, Gunshu, Qiangshu, Nangun.
C. Traditional Routine : Quanshu, Short weapon, Long weapon
D. Duilian Routine : 2 to 3 persons per group.
E. Group Routine : Comprise of a minimum 6 participants.
F. Chenshi Taijiquan : Taijiquan, Short weapon, Long weapon

8.0 RULES AND REGULATIONS:

8.2 For Group Wushu Competition, each team can only register for 1. Group event is not constraint by a standard style, routine or form. For example, it can be in form of an art performance, presenting the art of attacking, defending, skills and various techniques of Wushu.
8.3 Participant should report to the Registration Counter 30 minutes before their events start.
8.4 Competition complies with the November 2005 International Wushu Competition Rules.
8.5 The full score for each event shall be 10 points: Quality movement - 5 points, Overall performance - 5 points.
8.6 If any controversial interpretation of contest rules happened, Chinese version shall prevail.
8.7 The referee's decision is final, teams may not object to, nor accept any appeal.
9.0 RANKING AND AWARDS:
9.1 Individual Event : Medals will be awarded according to the scores achieved.
9.2 Group Event : Top 3 teams will receive winning trophies and medals.
9.3 Certificate of participation detailing ranking will be given.
9.4 Participants must complete their routine to qualify for medals and certificates.
10.0 CHAMPIONSHIP INCENTIVES:
Individual All-Round Champion
10.1 It is not divided by event and age but by gender (Male and Female). Only the 1st place to 3rd ranked winners will be awarded prizes.
10.2 The final score should be the total of each individual competitor’s Top 3 score in 3 games (must have Bare-handed series and weapon series); The person holding highest score will be the champion, the second one should be the first runner-up and the third one will be the second runner-up and so on.
10.3 Individual All-Round Champion Bonus:
The Champion : Gold Trophy, RM300 Cash Prize;
The First Runner-Up : Silver Trophy, RM200 Cash Prize;
The Second Runner-Up : Bronze Trophy, RM100 Cash Prize.
Overall Group Champion
10.4 It is not divided by gender, area or country but by team.
10.5 A team with not less than 6 participants will be regarded as scoring unit; Scores for teams of more than 10 players will be settled by the total scores of the top 10 players.
10.6 Score is count base on the following methods:
The Champion : 5 marks
The First runner-up : 3 marks
The Second runner-up : 2 marks
The Third runner-up : 1 marks
10.7 Team with the highest score wins the tournament; Team with the second highest score should be the first runner-up, the third highest score should be the second runner-up and so on.
10.8 Overall Group Champion Bonus:
The Champion : Gold Trophy (Borneo Cup), RM1000 Cash Prize;
The First runner-up : Silver Trophy, RM800 Cash Prize;
The Second runner-up : Bronze Trophy, RM600 Cash Prize;
The First runner-up : Silver Trophy, RM800 Cash Prize;
The Second runner-up : Bronze Trophy, RM600 Cash Prize;
The Third runner-up : Trophy, RM400 Cash Prize;
Excellence Award : Trophy, RM200 Cash Prize (4 Prizes).
Individual Commendation Award
10.9 Commendation Award will be given to participants aged 45 and above(M16/F16 to M20/F20)on the closing ceremony.
11.0 REGISTRATION:
11.1 Completed set of all Forms are required for Registration:
· Appendix 1, 2, 3 & photo/s;
· Copy of Identity Card or Passport;
· A signed Safety Declaration (Please see Appendix 3, to be signed by the group representative, or by their own, or if below 18 years old, must be signed by the guardian)
· A copy of payment made for the registration fee, package fee, participation fee.

11.2 Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of the required payments and documents.
Hard copies of the registration form are to be handed over during registration.
11.3 After confirmation, any amendment is not allowed. For those with extenuating reasons, urgent and/or special cases; participants have to send in an amendment request by 30th June 2011 Midnight. An amendment fee USD20.00 will be chargeable. Any further amendments after 30th June 2011 will not be accepted.
11.4 All teams should inform the committee their flight schedule and arrival time 10 days before by fax or email.

12.0 ARBITRATION COMMITTEE AND REFEREES:
12.1 The Competition Arbitration Committee will be appointed by the organizers. Participant shall strictly abide by the rules, regulations and decisions made by the Arbitration Committee.
12.2 Referees and other officials are proposed by the various participating teams and various martial arts associations. Acceptance and appointment will be made by the organizers. The organizer’s decision is final.
13.0 OTHERS:
13.1 Each team must participate in all ceremonies arranged by the organizing committee.
13.2 Each team will be responsible for all the relevant personal accident, physical and mental and emotional responsibility.
13.3 All teams must register before the deadline. Please send in the application form, together with the application fee and two passport type photos for each player (name written on the back) for publicity and publication purposes.
13.4 The organizer reserves the right to accept the application of the team.
13.5 When there are unexpected circumstances, the organizing committee has the right to adjust the date.
13.6 The organizing committee has the rights to amend the rules and regulation in order to carry out the tournament perfectly. Procedures not covered in this statement will be further notice.
13.7 The power to interpret belongs to the organizing committee of “4th Borneo Cup International Martial Arts Tournament”.
